Report by HMI Miss E.E.Spencer 22nd October 1930
On the occasion of this visit the regular assistant
teacher was absent and the supply teacher had been here only just a
fortnight. Apparatus has been made for this class but it might usefully
be supplemented by some bought apparatus, such as bricks, which cannot
be constructed by the teacher. The older infants, who are taught by
the Head Teacher have made good progress. Their oral response is evidently
much better than at the last visit. There is a very happy atmosphere
in this class. The children are quite unrestrained and perfectly natural,
whilst the good training they receive is illustrated by their prompt
attention and ready obedience.
Premises. The playground is in need of repair. The
classroom had not been sufficiently wellcleaned: window sills and ledges
had not been properly dusted.
