Heritage Writing Day Year 3 and Year 4 children worked with local tree expert Chris Olden to identify the trees around the school. They identified where the trees were and located them on a map of the school grounds.
Then they went outside to sketch the shape of the trees and make wax rubbings of the bark patterns. Finally they used library books and the Internet to find out more about the trees and to present the information in an imaginive way.
All the children's hard work was used to create a display in the Entrance Foyer.
